Research Assistants

The Social Cognitive Development lab is looking for responsible and hard-working individuals to join our research team! A minimum commitment of 5 hours per week is required. Research team members have the opportunity to:
     - Test participants for multiple research studies
     - Code and analyze data from multiple outlets
     - Recruit participants for studies
     - Gain valuable research experience
     - And more!

Undergraduate students who are interested in our research can inquire about opportunities in the lab by sending a cover letter and resume to Dr. Evans at aevans@brocku.ca. 

Undergraduate Thesis Students

Dr. Evans supervises undergraduate thesis students in the Psychology Department who are interested in children’s social and cognitive development in relation to honesty as well as interviewing children. To discuss undergraduate thesis opportunities in the lab please contact Dr. Evans to set up an appointment.

Graduate Students


Dr. Evans will not be accepting graduate student applications for the 2022-2023 year.

Dr. Evans is interested in supervising strong students who are highly motivated and hard working in the area of Lifespan Development. Students seeking MA or PhD graduate degrees with Dr. Evans, please send an e-mail outlining your general research interests and how they overlap with Dr. Evans’, any research experience you have to date, and your current GPA to aevans@brocku.ca.
